Slippers and (c)owls :)

The evenings will be even colder than now very soon, so it's time to think of something warm for our feet... Thinking about socks I don't want to knit but want to crochet them. I've never done this. So I decided to try it for me. But  a pair of slippers, no socks. I chose DROPS Crochet Slippers. I took a pure Latvian wool yarn. May be you remember my only one experience in a hand dyeing yarn? I took this yarn and another in light pink color and was crocheting holding two strands of these yarn together with a 6mm hook. It came a nice color combination. Actually the slippers are ready a while ago. Well... my feet doesn't feel cold at the evenings while I'm crocheting something else.

Also the second pair for my 3 y.o. daughter. With a flower in her favorite green color.

Sitting in my new warm slippers on a couch I have crocheted a lot of different hats and scarves. I've started selling my work!  I dreamed about it... So that's why I forgotten about my blog. Some news I'm writing on my Facebook or sharing photos at my Instagram. And now I'm dreaming about my own shop on Etsy or Dawanda.
In these dreams one day I found a lovely blog Repeat CrAfter Me, where Sarah shares with us her crochet, baking and other DIY ideas. And I found there a nice crochet pattern for the owl earflap hat. And I made 12  hats so far..... First of them of'course for my daughter(I'm writing about it here), and the rest of them I was doing to order... I can't believe... And I need to show you some of them....

Crochet Owl Hats

I've worked with chunky yarn and a 5,5 mm hook or DK yarn holding two strands together.

Also I fell in love with the cowls! The granny stripes or granny squares...
The first I made with 7 granny squares in 6 rounds each + 1 round for the border on each side. (my WIP short post here)

The following two cowls are granny stripes, for which I began with ch 150 joining in a ring with DK yarn and a 5,5mm hook. Then 3 dc in each 3rd stitch around, join. Then in the each of the rounds 3dc in the space between of the each 3dc-clusters.

I made 14 rounds in total.

Yesterday I've finished another three owl hats and now I can continue to work on a diagonal stitch scarf for me --->

or may be it will be a cowl... again... :))

See you soon...
Have a wonderful week with a nice weather!
Hug you  Xx
