I've been crocheting and even knitting a lot recently and I absolutely have no time to write about it... :(
I have: many desires;
I don't have: enough time to do all this.
Also I'm trying to sell my crochet works or may be crochet to order. Therefore I created a Facebook page. The page is still fairly empty, I will be adding my works gradually.
So a little bit of my crochet and knitting...
One day I've finally received a lovely yarn! I'm so happy I've found By Wool shop where I found this yarn! The delivery time was about 2 weeks and a cheap delivery charges as well as I love the nice prices for the yarn.
Here it is my lovely colorful variegated yarn! Lolipop by NAKO from Turkey.
I love love love the color combination! So I've immediately started to knit beanie for my little Alisha. Despite the fact that I was not knitting a long time.
I think the picture below shows you the real color of the yarn.
More closer look.
A 3.5 mm needles.
And 3 mm needles for the elastic bottom border.
For this beanie I was inspiring by Rainbow Ridge Beanie on Ravelry and I've a little managed the pattern and I've started to knit from the top of the beanie with 10 stitches. Then I evenly increased until I reached 90 stitches. This amount is enough for my 3 y.o. daughter with 48 cm of her head circumference. Also at the bottom of the beanie I made 7 rows for an elastic edge working 1 knit, 1 purl, etc. And I was working with 2 needles instead of circular therefore the beanie has a seam.
Now I'm knitting a garter stitch scarfю
Also I made two granny beanies for my both girls. I found the tutorial a while ago and finally I've used it! :)) It is a very interesting pattern. We are starting crochet with a pentagon and then it transforms to a circle. Take a look at Revlie's blog and see at the tutorial and much more interesting things as well as make sure how interesting and funny she says about it.
For Alisha.
I've used a different DK acrylic yarn: Stylecraft Special, Sirdar Bonus, Robin, Nako Astra, King Cole Gentle Touch and Pricewise and Patons FAB.
For the 3 y.o. I finished the increase when I reached 72 stitches. A 4 mm hook, and a 3,5 mm hook for the edge.
The size of finished cowl is 52cm x 14,5 cm. For the size I've started with ch 84 joined in ring and made 16 rounds in total.
And the beanie for my oldest daughter Anastasia. For the 53 cm of head circumference of my 8 y.o. girl I made increase to 81 stitches.
Usually she does not want to be a fashion model for the crochet things I'm making for her and for that I'am angry at her. She wants to wear it, and be photographed - no...
This beanie has the same color scheme as one crochet set I made in spring and which you have not seen yet. So... I should find these pictures...
and... and...
here they are:
Rainbow Mittens and Scarf.
I finished them on April... When a Blossom Tree in our garden was in blossom! (is it a pun?)
Ohh ... and on these photos I see that my daughter was happy to be photographed!
A 4 mm hook and acrylic yarn.
I should say you that the pattern I've used I found at The Green Dragonfly blog. I love this blog! Here is a pattern for the mittens and for the scarf.
I can not believe that I wrote so much!!! I never tell you how long time it took! :))

ReplyDeleteI love your use of colour, you seem to have a real knack for making colours work together. I really have to struggle, it does not come naturally to me. When in doubt I keep it simple!

Thank you, Helen! :) But this is not my merit. If you go over to the links in this post, you'll see that I stole these colors combinations. To be honest it is very difficult to me to combine colors, so basically I do it with my eyes closed.
