Bargello Blanket! Ta-Dah!

Bargello Blanket Ta-dah! 4

The Bargello Blanket is finished! The most of yarn colours are used up, so I have a beautiful soft and cozy baby blanket. Its size is 84cm square and it finished with a simple border in two sc rounds (Candy Floss + Sherbet). I was working the second round in back loops only. I have used 450g of yarn, it was Stylecraft Special DK, blend of acrylic and cotton(27%).
I enjoyed the process, it was easy to crochet this blanket and I'm very happy with the result! A big Thanks to Lena for the opportunity to create this miracle! The blanket likely will be added to my ETSY shop. Here you can see a last gallery of others Bargello.
Now I can continue to crochet a blanket for my oldest daughter, there is left to be done the border only.
I would choose white, but then I thought that Anastasia will choose her favourite pink colour. But my daughter's choice for the border colour is Citron!
So be it! :) Here is a little sneak peek of first border round.
The Snowflake Garland that you see at the last picture goes to Oksana within the Christmas Gift Exchange. Take a look at her blog Oksana+Hobbies, you will not be disappointed, Oksana is a big fashionista and a very creative person.
Have a wonderful day!

Bargello Blanket Ta-dah! 1

Bargello Blanket Ta-dah! 2

Для обвязки я сделала два ряда (Candy Floss + Sherbet) простыми столбиками, причем во 2м ряду столбики вязала за заднюю стенку.

Bargello Blanket Ta-dah! 3

Crochet Heart Buntings

Crochet Heart Bunting 1

Valentine's Day is coming soon and searching the web there is a lot of beautiful heart projects.
Of course I couldn't resist against the hearts and made a few heart buntings.

Crochet Heart Bunting 2

I found the Itty Bitty Crochet Heart Tutorial for the first bunting.
For the original pattern I've added two sc(US terms) rounds:
first is in the same color and the next is in white color.
I made these two rounds on back loops only.

Crochet Heart Bunting 4

For the thread I made ch 35, then sc in the top of right half of the heart, then ch 5,
then sc in the top of left half of the same heart.
Between the hearts I'm working ch 10, then again as above:
sc in the right top, ch 5, sc in the left top, etc.

Crochet Heart Bunting 3

My(actually not mine, it was presented to one nice lady) bunting contains 9 hearts in different colors of acrylic chunky yarn. I've used a 5,5 mm hook. The similar heart garland I made last year and I really really like it and therefore it adorns our fireplace almost all year with short breaks for Christmas and other holidays. But now our fireplace is empty because it waiting for a new triangle bunting which is finished and (in its turn) is waiting for the photoshoot. I  hope I can handle with all that very very soon.  :)

And now about another heart bunting.

Granny Heart Bunting 1

It was my first time making Granny Hearts.

And now I love them much more then previous hearts!

Granny Heart Bunting 5

Granny Heart Bunting 3

The basic pattern is here. But I changed it a bit: in the 2nd round instead of each ch 1 which is between the 3-dc-clusters, I made dc(US terms) in the second dc of 3-dc-clusters of previous round.
Accordingly in the 3rd round the 12-treble-shells goes in these dc.

Granny Heart Bunting 9

For the thread I used the same method, ch 20, sc in the right top, ch 9, sc in the left top,
ch 10 to the next heart, etc.
The same chunky acrylic yarn and a 5,5 mm hook and a lot of enjoyment!

Granny Heart Bunting 8

These hearts are more bigger then previous and I love them so much!

Granny Heart Bunting 7

On the photo above shown the process of making photos. Yes... yes...
I am standing on the table. :)
So enjoy the making hearts! It is easy! It is pleasure! And it is a lovely result for your home
or for a gift...
About my big big blanket... hurray! it is finished! It is so huge! The biggest one I've made so far! So colorful and so warm! And waiting for a sunny day to be photographed...

Take care

Owls... and more...

There are a lot of crochet Owl Hats on the internet... Of course, I couldn't resist and made two of them - for my daughters! For the first - Alisha's Owl - I used this lovely description, also I stole the color combination (I do it often lately)  :))

Alisha's Owl Hat_1

Made in Hdc with a 4 mm hook and Stylecraft Special DK acrylic yarn.
Wooden buttons for the eyes.
Now looking at the photo I think the bigger eyes size will be better.

Alisha's Owl Hat_2

For the second - Anastasia's Owl - I used this pattern. I picked the colors of the hat according to Anastasia's winter coat coloration.

Anastasia's Owl Hat_1

This hat is crocheted in Dc with a 5,5 mm hook and King Cole Big Value Chunky acrylic yarn.

And... and... and... I'm thrilled because I got my first order for three hats! plus matching scarves. So I was a little busy last week crocheting them. Now they are finished and I can relax...

Here they are.

And as usual, I have a few unfinished projects. I was starting an autumn triangle garland for my mantel...

Sometimes I feel tired to crochet and I dream of finishing all my projects and resting maybe for a week... But crocheting I come up with more and more new projects ...  :))

Triangle Garland!

I've finished my triangle garland! First I attached it to window blinds at my playroom and then I realized I didn't took any pictures of the finished garland. So I had to do it by jumping around the window :)
A bunch of pictures for you...

The triangle above was decorated on the reverse side of it.  You can see the green DC border's wrong side. haha...
Are you enjoyed the pictures? Now a few statistic. The yarn I used is Stylecraft Special  DK acrylic yarn, I usually buy at Deramores online yarn shop. The 4 mm/G hook. My favorite. The total amount of needed yarn is 115 g.
As I already wrote I made 12 triangles, but I needed only 9. So three of them were chosen as usual with my eyes closed. :)
Here they are, unnecessary:

The marvelous wooden beads I got from eBay as well as 23mm resin buttons.

A few weeks ago I bought round handles for a bag and yesterday I started crochet the striped bag. The  pattern I found on Ravelry.
